Why Does The Draw Close and Why Can I Only Play 1x Per Day?

Howzit legends!

Jacks been getting a ton of questions about our draws, so in the spirit of being the open, honest okes we tapped out some of the top questions that don’t fit neatly into the Frequent Lotto Questions section.

Why does the draw close / I can’t order an entry?

So, our draws are limited because of this insurance deal we’ve got in pace. The insurers need to know how many entries we’re sending their way every day, but don’t stress, they don’t get your personal info, they just the total entries and their #uniqueIDs. They then have about 20 minutes to calculate the premiums that cover your lekker jackpot payouts.

This means we can’t run more than one draw in a 24-hour period unless we want to pay through our teeth for insurance. So yeah, if you show up when the draw’s closed, tough luck for that day. But you can still sign up, check out the results, or mess around with the games. Just no new entries until the next day’s draw opens. Eish, I know it’s a vibe killer, but hey, we’ve got Free Games at the bottom of every page to keep you entertained.

Once upon a time, we thought we’d be clever and run two draws in one day. Never again, bru. Some clever clowns tried to hustle by waiting for the first draw’s numbers, entering them in the second draw, and then arguing they won. Lekker fun trying to explain why that’s not how it works (spoiler alert: it wasn’t). So, Jack shut that down for good. No more two-draws-a-day nonsense.

Why can I only play 1x per day?

For the same reason: insurance and our sanity. Plus, that’s just how lotto vibes, hey? The “paid-for” lottos make you fork out cash and then give you nothing. Here, at least you get to play for free—and still stand a chance to win big.

Also, we had some skelms who thought they were smart and set up bots to create fake email accounts to flood the draws with entries. Now, our T’s & C’s say we don’t have to pay those dodgy bots, but still, it was giving us a headache. So now, it’s one entry per day, per player. Until Jack says otherwise.

I registered, but I didn’t get my email.

A few reasons for this, china:

  1. Gmail loves to chuck our emails straight into your spam folder. Classic. But don’t worry, the IT nerds put together a guide to help you out.
  2. People often type their email addresses wrong. Double-check that you’re not missing a letter or dot when you sign up, or you’ll miss out on those winner emails.

Why do you have to be over 18 to play Online Lotto?

Technically, you’re not playing a real lotto here, this is just a fantasy lotto site with some insurance magic and a clever marketing twist. So, in theory, anyone of any age could jump in. But here’s where it gets a bit murky. Actual lottos? That’s straight-up gambling, and we don’t want to get involved in that sort of sticky business. Apart from the whole moral dilemma, our advertisers (who largely regulated gambling sites) would not be super stoked with if a minor clicks through from our site. Even if your mom gave you the thumbs-up, they’d still be properly miffed and we like to keep it light and fun for them too because they pay the bills. We like to say we’re not promoting gambling, but it’s a fine line and a spillery slope. So, to keep it clean and avoid any drama, we say: ou toppies only (18 and over). No exceptions.
